The first set you will learn in this class is the Ba Duan Jin (8 Pieces Of Brocade) qigong set. It is easy to learn and suitable for beginners to start with, as well as those with more experience. This set has been handed down for centuries. It has been attributed to legendary Chinese General Yue Fei who taught the exercise to his men to help keep their bodies strong and well-prepared for battle. The set consists of 8 sections. Each section contains a specific qigong exercise which can be practiced repeatedly for certain health benefits, or as part of the qigong set.
After the movements of each section have been taught, we will then re-cap each section and learn what each of the 8 sections do, within the body, to promote health.
